Overview

Six Decades of Championing Makers

Craft Contemporary is a Los Angeles museum dedicated to contemporary craft, folk art, and design. Founded as the Craft and Folk Art Museum in 1973 and located on Wilshire Boulevard's Miracle Mile, the museum has spent six decades championing makers and the cultural traditions behind their work, with a focus on artists and designers underrepresented in larger institutions.

The museum is housed in a three-story neo-Georgian building designed by Gilbert Stanley Underwood in 1930. Landmark PM is currently supporting Craft Contemporary on a change of use project. More to come soon.
